Atmospheric Realistic Expanding Addon (A.R.E.A.) is a standalone project based on Call of Chernobyl. The main goal of the project is to create a more realistic Exclusion Zone taking into account the fact that it's a game, where each trip will be a unique and rough experience.
The quests in Anomaly are as generic as the ones in Skyrim, in fact, Anomaly devs themselves call them "radiant quests". They are fetch quests, kill quests, or delivery quests, and that's it. At a distance, this might seem compelling, but in the end, it's not living the life of a Stalker in the Zone. It's living the life of an NPC in Stalker.
New Features (shortened): Completely replaced the weapon arsenal with BaS + selected weapons from Gunslinger and others. Instaling call of chernobyl So i have downloaded the mod, unlike my friend i dont have the gog version of the stalker and i dont have the disc that i have to put in, when installer is telling me to. Is there any way to go around this, without creating the virtual discs by programs like deamontools, or do i have to do it through it?

We were amazed by GSC's work when they released the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. screenshots in 2002. The old design, and atmosphere was stunning and we couldn't believe our eyes. Later in 2005 things has changed. They redesigned almost all old levels. Some of them became smaller, simpler (still nice, but different), and some levels were removed. The correct order is Shadow of Chernobyl -> Clear Sky -> Call of Pripyat. Keep in mind that CS is actually a prequel to SoC, but playing them in release order is a better idea.
