Such is the case with Far Cry Primal. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time losing myself in its world, despite it being quite a meat and potatoes adventure game at heart.
Changes the whole experience lol. Everything can 2 hit you, you're more aware of sounds (hearing them & making them) in case of nearby predators, stealth matters, positioning in fights matter, resources matter etc. Makes you see the game in a new (more realistic) way. The ending is especially bad after watching episode 5 of season 2, "Primal Theory" which is by far one of the best episodes of any TV show that I have ever seen, not for outstanding animation or writing, but for its excellent subversion of audience expectations and its incredible ending which incorporated horror, comedy, and the overarching
The last five minutes of this episode are what kill my satisfaction. Its execution was far too rushed to stick the emotional landing it needed for a well-rounded ending. The reaction of Fang and her children was weak, Mira committing pseudo-necrophilia, and then the time jump with seeing Spear and Mira's daughter riding Fang's grown son.
If those games were released as standalone titles like that, they would've done much better. It's alright but it doesn't need a remake and a potential sequel would need to make so many changes that it would end up being an entirely different game. DorTheDoorMan.
